Alumni Interviewers Directory
Informational interviews are strongly recommended if you plan to apply to Carnegie Mellon, and an alumni interview is a great way to get to know Carnegie Mellon better.
Interviewing with a volunteer alumni interviewer will allow you to learn about the university and what it offers, and at the same time give us an opportunity to get to know you, your interests and your motivations. Another very important factor is that the alumni interviewer is a former student and his or her perspective of the university can be very useful to you as you try to picture yourself living at Carnegie Mellon.
In order to contact one of our alumni volunteers, please follow the directions below before performing a search.
Applicants to Carnegie Mellon
As an applicant to Carnegie Mellon for fall 2016 you may access the Alumni Interviewers Directory and perform a search using qualifiers such as state, country and/or College. By also including your last name, birth date and Application ID (What is this?) you can view the contact information (phone and/or email) of the alum or alumni that you wish to communicate with.
Prospective students (who have not yet applied for admission)
If you haven't submitted your application for fall 2016 you still have the opportunity to search the alumni directory and have an alumni admission interview. However, to obtain the contact information (phone and/or email) of the alum or alumni that you wish to communicate with you must contact the Office of Admission at 412-268-2082.
Please remember to have your alumni interview by February 1, 2016 at the latest. Contact the alumnus in your area well in advance of this deadline to schedule your interview.
